This is my super tall afro
the day before I relaxed
it. I never wore my hair like this but I picked it out to see what
it looked like. The little dot on my head is a bindi
just in case you were wondering. I can never figure out why the top
of my hair grows soooooo much faster than my sides and back. It is
also a totally different texture. I guess I'm tall so my fro needs
to be tall too. I took this picture and then hid it for years. I thought
it was so scary looking, but now I really don't care and am proud
of my funny looking afro picture .

After a discussion with my mother I found out that my hair has always been 'taller' rather than 'wider'. Who knew? I have 4b on the sides so I'm wondering if it's breaking or if it's shrinkage, a slower growth rate or all of the above. Hmmmm...... The world may never know :^P

Well, I've finally figured out what's up with my tall fro:
(1) The sides and back of my hair have more shrinkage than the top
(2) I had no clue how to care for my super dry sides and I was breaking them off back then.
